The South Coastal Workforce Investment Board (SCWIB) is a federally-mandated, regional private-public partnership that has oversight responsibility and policy-making authority for federal and state workforce development activities. The Board is comprised of dedicated leaders from the business, organized labor, educational institutions, community-based organizations and state and local entities. P. Koch of Quincy, the Chief Elected Official, provides the strategic direction for the local workforce investment system.
Our objective is to provide an ongoing flow of qualified workers while
contributing to
the economic growth of the region through:
- Legislative involvement
- Employer outreach
- Comprehensive and quality One-Stop Career Centers
- Public awareness of career development and job placement system
