WHO WE ARE:
The South Coastal Workforce Investment Board (SCWIB) is a federally-mandated, regional private-public partnership that has oversight responsibility and policy-making authority for federal and state workforce development activities. The Board is comprised of dedicated leaders from the business, organized labor, educational institutions, community-based organizations and state and local entities. The Board, in cooperation with Mayor Thomas P. Koch of Quincy, the Chief Elected Official, provides the strategic direction for the local workforce investment system.
South Coastal Workforce Investment Board (SCWIB) is a non-profit corporation that works with major corporations, small businesses, educational institutions, community-based organizations and labor organizations. SCWIB links adults and youth in the South Coastal region with career opportunities in emerging and critical industries. We are dedicated to creating a community driven economy.
As the liaison to workforce development programs in the South Coastal region, our mission is to:
Provide an effective career development and placement system that is accessible and responsive to the needs of individuals and businesses while contributing to the economic growth of the South Coastal region.
